Set Up Site Tracking for an External Website
Site Tracking provides the account-specific setup needed to send supported events from an approved external website.
Where to find it: Admin → Settings → Site Tracking
What to do
- Open Site Tracking and review the domain and installation instructions.
- Add the exact generated code or identifier to the intended site.
- Publish the external-site change.
- Visit the site with an allowed test session.
- Confirm activity appears in Live Visitors or Analytics.
Good to know
- Only install tracking on sites you control or are authorized to manage.
- Consent and privacy disclosures remain the site owner’s responsibility.
